About this serie

The percentage of college and university students who cheat at school is about the same as the percentage of employees who cheat at work. Business students (graduate and undergraduate) cheat more than other students. While over 80% of business students surveyed admitted cheating, the perception of business school deans is that less than 40% of students cheated. Remarkably, less than 6% of the deans surveyed regarded student cheating as a serious problem. This puts us all at risk as they release their cheating students into the workforce. By looking away from a clear ethical problem and by failing to put an end to pervasive cheating, they are only contributing to the problem. Can we expect our future business leaders, who have cheated throughout school, to demand ethical and honest behavior from those they lead?
